Many people do not realize that landfills are also created in the same world we live in so making more of them to accommodate more waste means more space is used up which we are already getting short of. Take good care of your CDs, so that they do not get damaged and you can use them for a long time. Try to protect them from direct sunlight and water.

Give or borrow CDs to your community members, family and friends instead of getting new ones. You can sell them to used CDs stores or you can donate them to libraries and other organizations. Dumping them should be your last resort if there is nothing else that could be done. All these actions on your part would significantly cut down the quantity of CDs and reduce the negative environmental impact due to manufacturing of the new ones.
